Our Westside Hero for July may surprise a few people but for those that know him, well it won't. Tracy Philbeck is a County Commissioner that represents the Dallas Township. So why is he a Westside Hero?
Tracy believes and fully demonstrates that he represents all of the citizens of Gaston County and his contributions to the West District in Gastonia are numerous. He often asks to contribute anonymously so we will honor that request and just say he does a lot.
Commissioner Philbeck owns a business that is located in West Gastonia and he stays involved in the community. He supports the schools and has helped in many of our efforts with projects a Rhyne Elementary. We have never sent out a request for help that Tracy has not been one of the first to respond.
Since Commissioner Philbeck is not involved in an election this year we thought we would take a moment to thank him for his service to our communities and acknowledge his contributions. His service e as a County Commissioner demands a lot of his attention but he still manages time for the concerned and involved citizens in West Gastonia. You may not always see his name attached to the positive activities in the community but trust us when we say he is a Hero!
