With the modern conveniences of air conditioners, many of us take for granted that during these very hot days of summer that we will be able to keep cool. However, for many elderly residents and low income families the days of summer can be brutal. Without central air the heat can actually become dangerous. This is especially true for our older citizens. In an effort to make sure we all feel comfortable and safe during the summer months, we have started the BEAT the HEAT project as part of our Gaston Neighbors program. Please join us in making sure all of our residents are taken care of.
